Re: libtool: install: warning: relinking `libcanvas.la'

Hi Patrick,

Maybe you're right, but I don't know how I can not finish to build the whole gnome-desktop.

If it could be useful, I attach the errors during the building of gnome-session:

libtool: install: warning: relinking `libcanvas.la'
/usr/bin/install: cannot stat `./html/index.sgml': No such file or directory
make[7]: *** [install-data-local] Error 1
make[6]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[5]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[4]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[3]: *** [install-work/main.d/libgnomecanvas-2.3.0/Makefile] Error 2
make[2]: *** [../../gnome/libgnomecanvas/cookies/main.d/install] Error 2
make[1]: *** [../../gnome/libbonoboui/cookies/main.d/install] Error 2
make: *** [../../gnome/libgnomeui/cookies/main.d/install] Error 2

thanks,

Natxo

Are you sure that's what's stopping your build? That's just a warning from libtool, and a pretty common one -- it happens in almost every package, and should, the way garnome gets built.

Hi all,

First of all, sorry if this question has already been answered but I did not find it
in the mailing list.

My problem is that I'm compiling gnome through gargnome for the first time, and
I can not finish the installation due to this problem:

  libtool: install: warning: relinking `libcanvas.la'

Has anyone any idea about this problem?

thanks in advance,

Natxo
