Let me elaborate:
I get these errors when running the make install:
make[6]: Entering directory `/home/lee/garnome/bootstrap/pkgconfig'
make[6]: *** [file//files/pkgconfig-0.15.0.tar.bz2] Error 1
make[6]: Leaving directory `/home/lee/garnome/bootstrap/pkgconfig'
==> Trying file///pkgconfig-0.15.0.tar.bz2
make[6]: Entering directory `/home/lee/garnome/bootstrap/pkgconfig'
make[6]: *** [file///pkgconfig-0.15.0.tar.bz2] Error 1
make[6]: Leaving directory `/home/lee/garnome/bootstrap/pkgconfig'
...and also this:
checking for gcc... cc
checking whether the C compiler (cc -I/home/lee/garnome/include
-I/usr/X11R6/include -L/home/lee/garnome/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib -O2 -pipe
-L/home/lee/garnome/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot
create executables.
Any help greatly appreciated!
