Re: docbookx.dtd missing

I had a problem with that too, though we may have different reasons I'll give it a try. I hesitate to since your post is a month old, but I'm new on this list so what the heck.

Garnome default has a etc directory like so: ~/$HOME/garnome/etc

But when I installed the docbook stuff, the config files it needed were in the
real /etc/xml directory.
So after copying the /etc/xml dir to garnome's compiling worked to the finish.

But after doing a pretty good job, once I got past the docbook problem, it just segfaulted on startup. A little reading suggested I might have missing fonts, but that is beyond me (at present) to fix. Maybe I'll get around to figuring out what fonts the garnome needs later,
and where that info is etc... I'm using RHL9, I should probably mention.

What follows is for the list in general:
********************************
Patches I was hoping to get...
I was hoping to at least get the patched nautilus, where the scripts execute from their directory, instead of my home directory. Also was hoping to get the treeview that stayed synced with the file pane view, which was reported to be fixed in 3.3.3 if memory serves.

Is it possible to get that version using garnome? It used the 3.3.1 stuff I think.

Note: When the main ftp site was busy it would default to trying another site that asked
me for a password.

I believe the gar.conf.mk has this line...
GNOMECVSROOT = ":pserver:jdub cvs gnome org:/cvs/gnome"
but I had no clue what password to use... so that build might have been skipped.
I would try the usual guest, hit enter for none etc

or more probably this one:

in the file ~/garnome-0.24.2/gnome/category.mk

MASTER_SITES += scp://widget.gnome.org:/ftp/pub/GNOME/sources/$(GARNAME)/$(shell echo $(GARVERSION) | awk -F. '{ print $$1 "." $$2 }')/

But somewhere it asked me for a password.
