Not to be rude, but this belongs on a list, not a private mailing. But
to help with your question:
What do you mean you have no sound either? I don't remember saying I
didn't have any sound. Have you ever had any sound? If you haven't had
sound before Garnome is not going to fix that. What patch are you
talking about to get it to work? I don't know of any patch that makes
sound magically work. Also, you are a newbie? Garnome is for
developers/testers; specifically not for people not familiar with the
inherent problems with unstable software. If it is broken, find out
why, and let someone know why. If you can't do that, then Garnome is of
no use to you.
