nautilus does not find the proper libnautilus.0 library

Building garnome 0.25.1 on a Debian Sarge distribution.

Nautilus fails with the following error message :

nautilus: relocation error: /usr/lib/libnautilus.so.0: undefined symbol:
TC_string_struct

LD_LIBRARY_PATH and LD_RUN_PATH both contain the reference to the
directory where the Garnome libraries are :

% echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH 
/home/src/garnome/lib:
% echo $LD_RUN_PATH    
/home/src/garnome/lib:

Anyway, libnautilus.so.0 does not appear in the Garnome lib/ directory.
