Actually, the latest incarnation of these libraries is 2.1.8 (from 
January 14th), and garnome 0.20.0 calls for those available at the time 
of GNOME 2.2 RC1 release (2.1.90): 2.1.7.

1.116.3 are dating back to December, and surely we'd want to use the 2.1 
versions (which ought to get into 2.2, along with GNOME).

and, of course,

Hope you can differentiate between my speculation and facts!
