Hi Juergen,
It could be done, but I think Jeff didn't because xine-lib-1-beta1
wasn't available in the most important distributions. May be in the next
release.
Any way, you can compile xine beta in a differente prefix and then
compile the latest totem by your self outside of the garnome world, like
you just did.
