Help! I fsck'd my garnome installation

Somehow, my garnome installation was fsck'd (lots of error messages
about not being able to contact gconf). So I ``rm -rf ~/garnome'', and
``cd ~/garnome-0.21.2/meta/gnome-desktop; make install''. But 'make
install' only creates empty directories! How can I make it copy the
binaries and all?
