garnome-0.23.1 / Debian Woody Xrender install problem?

hi... first time poster here. I'm trying to install
garnome-0.23.1 on a Debian Woody x86 system, and I'm
running into the following error/problem:

Can anyone point me into the right direction of
getting past this? I checked the mailing list
archives, as well as a google groups search and didn't
find anything. Any help would be appreciated.
