I notice that there still is no "export BUILD_CLEAN" in the gar.conf.mk
file.

Do some shells not need this?

Is there some way to stop the KDE stuff from being included in a "make
paranoid-garchive" or having a gnome only target.

Don't want to sound too single-minded it's just such a big download...
