Failure during fifth-toe compile w/ 0.16.1

While compiling the fifth-toe applicatons, the cups stuff tried to remove some
files in /usr/lib/cups which obviously failed.

I'm using RH7.3 on an Athlon, and I haven't installed since the 0.13.1 days (I
feel so far behind!).  Anyway, to get past it, I had to su to root, do the
install, and then cancel when the next one started.  At which point I was able
to finish the "make install" in the fifth-toe directory.
