Hi,
I am not able to install garnome 0.9.6, and I cannont find what I am
doing wrong. I downloaded the gnome2 sources from 020501 in
/home/downloads/gnome2/020501/ garnome 0.9.6 in
/home/downloads/gnome2/garnome-0.9.6 and changed the following lines in
gar.conf.mk.
FILE_SITES = file:///home/downloads/gnome2/020501/
or
FILE_SITES = file://localhost/home/downloads/gnome2/020501/
prefix ?= /opt/gnome2
when I run make install from meta/gnome-desktop garnome starts
downloading the sources from gnome.org. When I try garnome 0.9.7 with
the same changes to gar.conf.mk, garnome complains about failing
checksums. Is this indicating that at least garnome 0.9.7 is looking in
the correct local dir.
By the way: is python 2.2 really neccesary, or is 2.1 sufficient.
How to get garnome compiling with already downloaded sources.
Bye,
Martijn
