GARNOME on Mandrake 8.1

Hi. I'm trying out GARNOME on my Mandrake 8.1 machine and have hit a snag. I keep getting this error message:

configure: error: Gnome-vfs requires libbz2 to compile.

I tried searching the net for libbz2 but couldn't find it (at rpmfind.net). Does anyone know where I can find it? I'm sort of new at this compiling stuff and I don't want to wait for Ximian to get G2 packages out for my distro.
