Bug in latest version.

Or maybe not?

gnome-desktop made fine, installed fine, and runs fine.

At some point through compiling gnome-other, however:

Any clues? I'm a little offended by that 'crappy cpu' tag. :)

It's an Athlon 700, same thing our esteemed author is using.

Is there any way I can tell it to skip this monkey-sound stuff?
