Good point.  On the debian side perhaps I should put the database is a
second deb.  That way I could put up a web site which I keep current.
Then anyone wanting a current database only needs to add a line in
sources.list pointing to my site and the magic of apt will keep them
current.

Yup ... that is my plan.
