Current (temporary) homepage of gnome.org

Hello,

I am surprised and disappointed by the current gnome.org homepage,
stating :

	News just in from the Banana Republic: European Council Presidency
	Adopts Software Patent Agreement Against Council's Rules. In
	response, we return the GNOME website to the dark ages, to remind us
	where software patents will take us if we do not fight them. Help
	fight patents now!

1) Calling Europe a Banana Republic doesn't seem to be a good idea. I'm
not sure which country would be in position to do such an assumption.

2) It is the European Council, not its Presidency, which adopted
something.

3) What was adopted was a Common Position on the Directive about
Software Patents. Saying that Software Patents were adopted is totally
wrong.

4) The sentence is misleading and seems to mean that the adoption was
against the council's rules. The only thing that was against council's
rules was the way it was decided it would be a point A, and not a point
B.

I propose the following text with my bogus English :

	News from Europe: the Council of the European Union adopted a common
	position on a draft Directive allowing software patents. While doing
	this, it even violated some of its own rules! In response, we return
	the GNOME website to the dark ages, to remind us where software
	patents will take us if the directive goes past the second reading in
	the parliament. Help fight software patents now!
