I think it's important to remember here that more than just the GNOME 
hackers are involved/interested in OO.  Bruce's voice is recognized as part 
of the Free/Open Software movement in the larger scope.  I'd expect the 
GNOME foundation to speak with Sun on behalf of GNOME, but I'd anticipate 
that the KDE League will speak for their own interests, RMS and ESR will 
speak for their respective contituencies (real of percieved), and Bruce can 
certainly add his voice as well.
