Hi everyone,

This list has been set up for discussions about the announcement of the
Gnome Foundation.

The Gnome Foundation will be announced by the Gnome Steering Committee
on August 15.

Corporate partners (Red Hat, Sun, Helix Code, Eazel) will participate,
since they will be the corporate members of the foundation.

Greg Corrin at Eazel has volunteered to coordinate the press release.
He'll make sure to get sign-off from all of you on his work.

Russ Castronovo and the Sun PR team have offered to coordinate the press
conference.  They'll make sure to get sign-off from all of you on their
work.

By now, you should have received an email from the list program with
information about how to access the mail archives on the web.  This
message includes the password that you'll need to access the archives.
Also, I'm the administrator for this list, so I can add people to this
list.
