Backup druid

Hi

Just filed an enhancement request for a Backup Druid.

/Bengt

In short (or long......)
========================
Since we all are now getting bigger and bigger digital photoalbums, I am sure
that there is a need for a simplified backup process for these photos.

F-Spot could assist with this, by having an extra (hidden?) tag per photo
stating when this picture was last backuped.

For instance. By default the "backup druid" is activated (configurabled since
some want to backup the files by other means), and will remind every now and
then (configurable) of long time since last backup and now there are XXXX
pictures that have not been backuped to secondary medium.

Perhaps it could be possible to specify two different backup mediums?
1) Medium 1 (hard drive/directory for instance) - Every XX days
2) Medium 2 (External CD/DVD/Tape/Hard drive) - Every YY days

Possible to specify if you want to backup only original, original +
default, or
all versions.

Different backup options.
1) Simple cp/tar or something with checksums
2) Using optional dedicated backup software (which should be detected)

Should be possible to select which pictures to backup, or all not backuped
pictures. Should be possible to force F-Spot to think all pictures have been
backuped. (After a restore, or some photos have already been backuped by
other
means)
