Similar to Andreas, I am pretty new to f-spot but I'd really like to
second this use case. Would it be possible to include a short paragraph
about dealing with it in the F-Spot users guide? As an alternative, I'd
appreciate a corresponding entry in an FAQ page that was envisioned some
weeks ago.

Concerning this "family" use case raised above, I'd like to add that it
could be useful to share not only the photo directory but also the
corresponding database.
I've read about the discussion to create multiple albums and move the
database in the photo directories. Event though I understand that this
is a useful but fairly large extension of f-spot, for the "family" use
case I would already be happy to set the location of the photo database
location by command line or a gconf setting.
Is there already an option or patch available I missed to set this
location of the photos.db file aside from linking to it?
Best regards,
Sebastian
