Things I forgot to mention:

 * There's some strange stuff in the add album dialog (also in the add
account dialog): the status_area widget doesn't collapse when hidden,
does someone have an idea why? My GTK+ knowledge is still young &
incomplete.
 * The status_area could probably be removed from the add album dialog,
it's not needed (I just noticed gallery makes no problem of duplicate
names).
 * Seems like Gallery2 uses a completely different way of doing remote
uploads OR my test install horribly failed ;-).
