Hopefully this will work toward fixing the ridiculous amount of local
disk cache that is used in Evolution 2.6. Currently I can not use
Evolution 2.6 (previously using 2.2) as it tried to take up > 800MB of
local disk space with all the individual header files (and that was
after scanning only a small portion of my 3+GB of e-mail on my IMAP
server). What ever happened to using a single index file with all the
headers? That would be a much more efficient way of storing the local
cache so it doesn't wast disk space due to inode cluster sizes.
