since we already have all the backend and synchronisation of clients via
the E-D-S API, my plan is to convince tomboy/notes applet people to use
e-d-s for notes, rather than us accessing their files directly, with no
synchronisation at all.
To make it clear, this is what I've thought:
* make sure we support VJOURNAL in the calendar API and backends
(working on this)
* write a simple notes API on top of the VJOURNAL (not sure if this is
really what we want, but I guess it would be much better to have a very
simple API for tomboy/notes applet to use rather than the libecal API)
* write a GUI component for the shell to manage notes. Not sure exactly
yet how this could be done, so any idea is welcome.
The idea of using VJOURNAL is that the notes thing could be used either
for simple notes (VJOURNAL with no date set) or for a diary-type thing
(VJOURNAL with dates). Also, as we discussed some time ago, VNOTE was
obsoleted.
