Where is this going to live? you should include the paths in your
patches. e.g. instead of cvs diff foo.c do cvs diff blah/foo.c from the
top-level of the module concerned.
FWIW don't call FilterElement FilterElment, we already have a public
object type FilterElement (and struct _FilterElement) in the filter code
(yes, it should be namespaced better, but isn't).
And use 8 space tabs, and put blank lines between declarations and
statements, I guess, etc etc.
