Yeah, I meant to respond to this when I'd committed it but spaced - the
patch fixed half of the problem, but there was still issues when
switching folders.  If the pane was shown when you switched it would
disappear and require two hits of the accelerator to show (the first to
reset the state to hidden, second to show it again.)
