I looked at it and ran some tests. So it does look ok. Other components
keep a pointer to the constructed dialog and will only show one at a
time, and will destroy it along with themselves if the user closes the
parent.

Specifically, I tested concurrency with the mail To: button and the
meeting editor. They'll show one select-names dialog each, and both
behave correctly, as far as I could see.

If you find any places where this is not the case, it's a bug.
