There does not seem to any focus issue with the patch, but the text seems to be 
selected when the user presses tabs tabs to select a widget, once the user 
unselects the text, pressing backspace does not seem to select the text again.

I will modify the patch in case the text selection behaviour when the user tabs 
around need to be changed too.
