yea, thought about that. I wonder if I have a better idea though...

instead of doing this whole new-mail-notify thing via filters, I wonder
if a better way might be to have a signal on the store that can be fired
whenever one of its folders gets new mail? this way things would work
better for imap (and filtering wouldn't need to be enabled).

I'm just thinking the current implementation is fundamentally broken
(shame on me I guess).
