Looks good.

The OpenSSL stuff probably wasn't happening with any regularity... you'd
have to trip a pretty severe error, like unplugging the network, to ever
hit it... but i suspect that'd just cause EPIPE and a HUP on the soup
side, and you'd probably just get an error message.
