Hi,
When installing evolution-data-server 1.2.x on a system which has a
FHS [1] compliant directory structure the evolution-data-server-1.2
binary is copied to a wrong place so that the evolution doesn't find
it. This results in a not-working evolution.
The problem occurs, because in the FHS %libexecdir is the same as
%libdir (/usr/lib).
I filed a a bug report about this nearly 2 months ago,
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=274355
but unfortunately I got no response.
I've attached a path to the bug which changes the location of the
/usr/lib/evolution-data-server-1.2 to
/usr/lib/evolution-data-server-1.2/evolution-data-server .
Debian has also changed the location (a little bit different, but similar).
It would be nice, if my patch or an similar one could be applied to
e-d-s, so that it can be installed on a fully FHS compliant system,
again.
Best regards,
Christian
