I actually have this same error message, or nearly so:

evolution-2.4: symbol lookup 
error: /usr/lib/evolution/2.4/components/libevolution-mail.so: undefined 
symbol: gtk_html_set_tokenizer

But I can't figure out the solution, as the OP was apparently able to do. any 
advice would be appreciated. Evolution-2.3.2 compiled fine, but won't start. 
I have the same required packages as OP listed above.
