Dear Anders,

I tried this on Win2K/Exchange 2k. Evolution 2.0 to Evolution 2.2

Following images should be able to explain what I mean.

Image which displays partial name.

I am sure it is a problem with evolution. Hope the images help to explain the situation.

Sorry, but I don't follow Your idea at all. 
I see it all in GAL as your "wish" is.... 
Could it depend on the exchange configuration??
