PS we haven't forgotten about this (uh, yet), but haven't had the time
to review it yet.

I've had a thought though, and i'm afraid this might not make you very
happy (that i didn't have it earlier) ... we should probably look at
having a notification interface on the mail component.

Then anything can hook into it using a bonobo query interface, rather
than hardcoding the mailer to use a specific applet UI.  I've moved this
email to evolution-hackers for discussion.
