Re: [Evolution-hackers] Follow up question on configuringEvolution.

first check if you can get libbonobo-devel and libbonoboui-devel of a suitable version for your distro, a new one came out fairly recently, you need to grab that (i.e. 2.2.4).  its a lot easier than building head - and head bonobo might not be what you want anyway (2.2.x is on a branch i think).

Thanks Ettore!

Okay let me make sure that I am doing this correctly before I go any
further. I just got gal and gtkhtml from the cvs trunk.

gal builds fine. gtkhtml does not. You cannot successfully run the
configure script:

configure: error: Library requirements (libgnomeui-2.0 >= 1.112.1
libgnomeprint-2.2 >= 2.2.0 libgnomeprintui-2.2 >= 2.2.1 libglade-2.0 >=
2.0.0 gal-2.2 >= 2.1.0 libbonoboui-2.0 >= 2.2.4)

Now I have everything I need but libbonoboui. So I get libonobo from the
cvs trunk, but I can't build that because I don't have :

configure: error: Library requirements (        ORBit-2.0 >= 2.7.5
ORBit-CosNaming-2.0 >= 2.7.5    glib-2.0 >= 2.0.1       gobject-2.0 >=
2.0.1    gthread-2.0 >= 2.0.1) not met;

I want to make sure that I am going about building and testing evolution
and the evolution-groupwise connector in the correct manner. Is my next
step to get ORBit, ORBit-CosNaming, glib, gobject and gthread from the
cvs trunk?

Is there some better way to accomplish this? Thanks for your input!

Hmm, if you are compiling Evolution from CVS trunk, you also need CVS
gal and gtkhtml (also from the trunk).
