[Evolution-hackers] soup and the "-c/-o multiple compilations" error

Hallo!

maybe (only) a bit offtopic, but ...

for evolution 1.2.1 I need soup-0.7.X and it won't compile with my gcc-3.2.1 due to the infamous
switch problem.

What is *Your* suggestion to get around this trouble?
