Aren't 1 and 3 practically the same. When you enter an address into the
address bar, it becomes a site visited when you press Enter. If you
don't press Enter, the address doesn't become registered at all.

Anyway, if I enter a few letters into the address bar, first on the
dropdown list are some top level URLs (e.g. not sub pages) with that
letter combination, they are followed by the bookmarks with the same
letter combination in their name or subject (these seem not to be
separated) and the last come the sub pages to the main URLs that are in
the beginning of the drop down list. These sub pages seem to be in a
chronological order - I guess this would be the history part.

It's good that you asked, because now I had to make myself aquainted
with the system, which appears to have changed recently :-)

I'm not sure how my observations relate to the bug report in question.
Maybe the fact that the main URLs are on the top of the list, sub
addresses at the end of it and the bookmarks there in the middle is
confusing the person who made the report.

I hope this helped even a little.

Ari
