We should also try and get the python bindings for XPCOM (PyXPCOM) [1]
into a better state. There's a patch [2] which may need some loving.
[1] http://public.activestate.com/pyxpcom/configure.html
[2] https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129216
That patch alone isn't sufficient.
I've created http://live.gnome.org/Epiphany_2fEphyPython_2fPyXPCOM with
build instructions for PyXPCOM. With the patches from there, I can
successfully build PyXPCOM on trunk (not tested on mozilla 1.7 or ff 1.0
branches).
Very cool.
Now we just need to check if it actually works ;)
:) Yes, that would be a good thing to do. Seriously though, if we get
this working well enough, I can help get it upstreamed quicker. Because
it appears after all this time that it needs help.
