Epiphany location bar

Hello,
I see that the latest version of Epiphany doesn't have the
dropdown box as URL bar. Looks like this has been redesigned (from
Epiphany 1.2.0) as text box with the type ahead find feature. Is there
any specific reason for it?. Also, any bug number associated with this
change?. Thanks..
