File -> Save does not save web content (images etc.)

Using Epiphany 1.2.2, Gnome 2.6.  Epiphany used to save the web content
in a <filename>.content directory; 1.2.2 no longer does that, and I
couldn't find a setting anywhere (preferences, gconf) to enable that. 
Is this new behavior by design?
