I have not a linux box to check right now but I think alt+(number of tab)
should also work. (It should also be listed in tabs menu).

Yeah please submit a bug, it's trivial to fix. For firebird I think we didnt
update it when name changed, for mozilla should work, but we can find why
it doesnt for you in the bug.
