I guess I'll let Dave comment on this, since he was the bad one that
dropped the functionality :P
(prolly before making any call on it we should see how new file selector
shape up).

I think this would be a good addition, can you post a bug on bugzilla.gnome.org about it ?
Btw if someone is bored here is a small nice task. We need to make some
sense of the various mouse (and now keyboard) action on links with modifiers.
Once we have a list of things that need to be implemented it should be easy to do it.
