[Epiphany] Epiphany forgets cookies (Galeon2 also)

Having a weird problem: Epiphany always forgets my cookies when closing
the browser. Galeon2 has the same problem, but the mozilla-snapshot I
compiled it against has no problem at all.

When I ask around, nobody seems to have the problem, I'm the only one it
seems.

System:

Debian Woody 3.0
Gnome 2.0
mozilla-snapshot from Debian sid compiled for woody
galeon-snapshot from Debian sid compiled for woody
epiphany-browser compiled for woody

Tried multiple Galeon2s and mozilla-snapshots on my system, but it
doesn't work. I'm having this problem for a while on 2 different systems
with almost the same setup (my other system with this problem runs Gnome
2.2)
