Hello Nathaniel,
I stepped back from eog maintainership a few months ago. This mail is
forwarded to eog-list gnome org where this suggestion should be
discussed further.

Jens

Dear Jens,
You may remember this very brief interaction we had earlier this year
concerning a 'watch this file' or 'reload' option in 'eye of gnome'. I
was wondering if progress had been made and whether perhaps there is a
beta version I can download or something. I'm currently running Red Hat
enterprise linux, workstation version 4.
Not to worry if I'm too early.
Yours,
Nathaniel

Is there a 'watch this file for updates' option for the GNOME
image viewer, of which you are listed as an author in the help file?
Having upgraded to the latest RedHat enterprise linux, I was
disappointed to find that nautilus could no longer view images in
place. While your program is equally as responsive in terms of
moving around and zooning etc., its inability to redraw image files
if they are updated/recreated is a serious handicap in my view.
you are right its a serious handicap. Actually, I am working on
including file monitoring in the next release of Eye of Gnome. Sorry
for the inconvenience.
Regards,
Jens
