[Ekiga-list] Ekiga stopped working

Apparently your package manager broken the dependancies on your system.

I would do what you propose, and reinstall either using our debs, or
using the package manager (but starting from scratch).

You will have to do :
apt-get remove --purge 'libpt-*'

It should remove everything.
