[Ekiga-list] Ekiga very slow disconnecting

I am new user to Ekiga. It runs in SuSE 10.3. When disconnecting a call, 
it takes abnormally long to disconnect although I can hang up on a call 
with ctrl D. I do not know if that is normal. So in order to place 
another call, I force the application to quit. This however results in 
requiring to reboot  the system otherwise the application will not start 
again after a forced quit.
Any remedial suggestions would be much appreciated.
