I like Ekiga as much as the next guy, but I prefer to describe
things accurately: In this particular respect, Skype beats Ekiga.

Fair enough. That's not my experience: They both give me
comparable sound quality when calling 1800 numbers. But, it will still
be the case for you and for me that there are some 1800 numbers that
we can dial with Skype for free, but not with Ekiga.
