I notice that nobody has addressed this. Could somebody please
confirm that these numbers can be reached as indicated in the reply
above? Like I said, it does not work for me; in fact, all the recipes
for 1800 numbers in the US listed in
http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Fun_Numbers fail in the way I
described. Since I have an account at ekiga.net and I can make calls
to ordinary phones, I must be missing something that prevents me from
using the 1800 recipes. Feedback on what might be missing would be
most welcome.
