Re: [Ekiga-list] 'Fixing' Ekiga disables Mutt & apt-update

Hi Everybody,

I have an Installation of Ekiga 2.0.2. I'm trying to install 2.0.11 from
source. I get the following error:
**********************************************************************
checking for EKIGA... configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-2.0
>= 2.6.0 gthread-2.0 >= 2.4.0 esound >= 0.2.28 gconf-2.0 >= 2.2.0
libgnome-2.0 >= 2.2.0 libgnomeui-2.0 >= 2.2.0) were not met:

No package 'gtk+-2.0' found
No package 'gthread-2.0' found
No package 'esound' found
No package 'gconf-2.0' found
No package 'libgnome-2.0' found
No package 'libgnomeui-2.0' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables EKIGA_CFLAGS
and EKIGA_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.
**********************************************************************
I don't know what I should set in the PKG_CONFIG_PATH env variable.
And what is this variable used for?

Thanks,
Pratiksha
