Hello,
using ekiga-windows-2.0.9 on a WinXP computer with a adsl modem router.
Yesterday "Detect NAT type" in the configuration druid gave "symmetric NAT".
I chose "NAT traversal method" STUN and was able to do video-conferencing.
Today I couldn't connect anymore to 500 ekiga net or do video-conferencing .
I noticed that now "Detect NAT type" resulted in "Blocked".
I changed "NAT traversal method" to IP translation but that didn't seem to
help. I disabled my software firewall but it was still Blocked. I re-enabled
my firewall.
15 minutes later again I set it to IP translation and then I was able to
connect to 500 ekiga net and do video-conferencing again.
I have not a clue why it has changed from symmetric NAT to Blocked. Neither
why it didn't work the first time I set it to IP translation.
Maybe the internet provider changed something?
Dieter
