Why?  Because it's as easy to use  and install as Skype if they're
afraid of technology and it uses standard open protocols.  Some people
on this list have reported using Ekiga to interact with Gizmo users.

Totally agree , more and more people boycott skype for its closed protocol .

The only problem is that there is no  "click n use" program like Gizmo that support Video ....

Maybe Ekiga will make it ...
